Founder’s Reflection — A Meaningful Day at Tanjong Katong Secondary School
A meaningful day of giving, gratitude and reflection at Tanjong Katong Secondary School — and an unexpected moment of encouragement along the way.
After almost 25 years of calling Singapore home, today was one of those moments that made me reflect on how much this country has given me.
It was a privilege for La Saigon to be part of today’s charity event at Tanjong Katong Secondary School. Giving back to the community has always been part of the purpose and direction of La Saigon — beyond food and coffee, we hope to contribute and connect people in our own small way.
Today also came with a very special and encouraging surprise. I had the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, take a photo together, have him sign my shirt, and personally gift him some of La Saigon’s products — something created from a journey I started here in Singapore.
What touched me even more was seeing him return to his old school and visit his former teacher. Despite where life has taken him, there was a genuine humility in remembering the people and places that were part of his journey.
A meaningful day of giving, gratitude and a little unexpected encouragement for this founder. 🤍
